Express Who you Are
We believe Jiujitsu is something that is organically learnt and cultivated within the self. Being a defensive martial art, there are always new methods and techniques one can learn and invent. And that reflects in our motto as well - "Express who you are"
We are a team
We at IJJ come from all walks of life, and whoever we are, we bond together as a team, as a brotherhood (or sisterhood, as the case may be). And we are absolutely open to having you with us, whoever you are, whatever your allegiance, for this is what helps us grow even stronger.
So, you think Jiujitsu is interesting
What do you do now?
Simple, just come attend a free starter class and have a feel of what we do, why we do it, and how you can be a part of it. This is more than just learning a new skill. The friendship, the brotherhood, the love; these are some of the things that we realised we were developing as well.
“Are you bored of lifting weights? Running on them treadmills? Well I was.. and then I heard about these classes. Before I continue I'd like to mention that I live in koramangala, yup you heard me, its about a zillion kilometers away and the traffic doesn't make it better. I came in for a week (3 classes) and I was hooked. The best part is you can be 10 or you can be 70 years of age, BJJ is for everyone. The instructors are knowledgeable and really good at what they do, the environment is safe and classes are fun. Be advised: causes you to get ripped/ weight loss, makes you a better person (by giving you a healthy ego).”
“Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is the best thing that has ever happened to me and Institute of Jiu-Jitsu is just great. We get to learn a lot every session and meet loads of like-minded people. We train insane, and help each other become the strongest version of ourselves both physically and mentally; and also, we do have our fun sunday steak outs! IJJ is like being a part of one big family where we have a lot of fun busting our asses. IIJ makes learning so interesting that we look forward to each and every session. Jiu-Jitsu has helped me a lot - not only on the mats but also in the way I live life. Owe it all to IJJ and my masters. Osss!!”
“I had a little experience in striking and was keen on learning the mysterious david vs goliath techniques... the place is awesome and hope to learn a hell of a lot :)”
“Best place in Bangalore to learn Jiu Jitsu...the learning environment here is excellent!!”
“It’s so difficult to describe what we learn at IJJ in words. Because they’re just words. And what we perceive cannot be expressed, it’s unspeakable. And yet, you know, when we communicate with one another and we feel that we have connected - and we think we’re understood, I think we have a feeling which is not transient, but I think it’s we will live with it forever.
It would be great if you could drop by and see what you missed to far. It's never to late join us and experience yourself and feel the difference."
“Institute of Jiu-Jitsu is a great place to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I Decided to join IJJ to improve my fitness, ended up falling in love with Jiu-Jitsu. Practicing Jiu-Jitsu is the most fun thing I do and I look forward to class everyday. The content of each class is well structured and the techniques taught are drilled again and again till we're all comfortable with it. I Love the personal attention that is given to each of us. The instructors are very dedicated, often staying back after class to teach you. I can't recommend it enough, jiu-jitsu for life!”
After 5 years of being a BJJ white belt and training under 3 purple belts and one Brown belt; and yet still searching for a place to roll nearby, it's finally nice to have a home to settle down....
India is in the development phase of BJJ and there aren't real authentic BJJ classes around us... It's good to find a resting place in IJJ... With a super-cool instructor (Rohit) and high spirited team mates, the future looks bright...
Through all of my 17 years of martial arts experience, 12 years of fighting experience and 14 years of teaching experience, I can say this is one place where you can hang your clothes and get ready to learn something new...
